The iPhone XS Has A Charging Problem..

You might want to know about this before you invest $1000 in your new iPhone Xs or Xs Max...

iPhone Xs or Xs Max not charging:
1) If the phone is in sleep mode (idle and asleep) and you plug in the lightning jack it will not recognize it and therefore it will not charge
2) Some models recognize the lightning jack only after you tap the screen and only then it starts charging
3) Some people say that it only charges temporarily and then it would stop
4) Some models do not recognize the lightning jack is inserted even if you are holding the phone and tap the screen - this seems to be the biggest issue as it would make your phone useless if it would not charge at all

Lewis Hilsenteger from UnboxTherapy tested this on 8 iPhone XS and XS max devices and it seems to be accurate. Although not all devices were affected by the charging issue some of them were. This means that not every iPhone XS out there is a affected but that some people might be or will be very unlucky if they buy a model exhibiting the issue.

How to fix the iPhone XS charging problem:
Some people have had luck with pulling out the lightning jack and re-inserting it a couple of times. Others removed the cable and then flipped it around. If this has not worked for you, Apple has not yet issued a statement about this and the only way for you to fix the charging problem is to request a replacement.

What causes the iPhone XS charging problem:
No word as of yet if this is a software of hardware issue, I for one think it may be a simple software issue which may be fixed in an update.
